DOUBLE PLANAR INTEGRATED MILLIMETER-WAVE FILTER

Author: J. Bornemann, F. Arndt, R. Vahldiack, D. Grauerholz

DOUBLE PLANAR INTEGRATED F. Arndt, MILLIMETER-WAVE R. Vahldiack, FILTER J. Bornemann, ABSTRACT and D. Grauerholz A double planar integrated circuit filter is introduced, which achieves significant higher stop-band attenuation against higher frequencies than the common single planar circuit, especially for designs in the near of the waveguide band end. The theory is based on field expansion

E-PLANE CIRCULATORS 30 THROUGH 150 GHZ FOR INTEGRATED MM-WAVE CIRCUITS

Author: K. Solbach

E-PLANE CmCULA'lDRS 30 THROUGH 150 GHZ FDR INTEGRA'lED MM-WAVEcmCUITS IG.aus Solbach * ABSrRACT A simple and rugged E-plane Y-junction circulator design is presented for implementation in integrated ~wave circuits. Insertion loss of 0.6 dB and a bandwidth of 1.2 GHz is typical for 94 GHz. At 145 GHz 1 dB insertion loss and 2.5 GHz bandwidth is achieved.

REALIZATIONS AND DESIGN OF FIN-LINE BANDSTOP FILTERS

Author: A.S. Omar, K. Schünemann

REALIZATIONS AND DESIGN OF FIN-LINE BANDSTOP FILTERS A.S. Omar and K. Schunemann* ABSTRACT The potentials of various slot patterns for realizing filters are discussed. Filters utilizing a double-slot hybrid structure are designed and realized. fin-line bandstop fin-line, and a

RADAR PULSED BURN-OUT OF LOW NOISE GaAs MESFETS

Author: L. Dormer, P. Gardner

RADAR PULSED BURN-OUT OF LOW NOISE GaAs MESFETS L. DORMER* AND P. GARDNER* Abstract This paper presents some new low noise GaAs FET radar burn-out results. The spread in burn-out energies is very large, as in earlier reported work. A simple model of the GaAs FET gate shows qualitative agreement with some aspects of observed failures. Interpulse degradation of gain and noise figure have been

AN INTEGRATED RECEIVER FRONTEND FOR A 94 GHZ DUAL POLARIZATION RADAR

Author: W. Menzel, H. Callsen, K. Solbach

AN INTEGRA'IED RECEIVER FRONrEND FOR A 94 GHZ DUAL fOLARIZATION RADAR Wolfgarg ABSTRACT M8nzel, Heinrich Callsen and Klaus &>lbach * A dual channel receiver frontend for a 94 GHz radar with dual polarization capabilities is discribed. 'Ihe frontend consists of polarizer, circulator, filters, STC PIN-diode switches, balanced mixers and power divider for the LO and is built, except for th

MICROWAVES IN THE 1990 ' S

Author: J.H. Collins

MICROWAVES Iii THE 1990 IS *J. H. Collins ABSTRACT Over ever the past 30 years microwave technology has matured and grown with increasing civil and military systems applications and the industry is now enjoying for the first time an important status with the investment community. The 1980' s will witness massive research and development funding in the microwave technology required to be deploye

BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF MICROWAVES AND CANCER TREATMENT

Author: J. Pokorný

BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF MICROWAVES AND CANCER TREATMENT J. Pokorny ABSTRACT Interaction of electromagnetic fields with biological systems covers wide interdisciplinar,y area. The paper summarizes part of it, especially efflux of calcium ions from cerebral tissues, rotation of cells in an oscillating field, breakdown of cellular membranes, heating of biological tissues and its potential applicat
